July 4th

Oh Hi little blog! with my blog writing duties at work and greatly reduced amount of free time I'm finding it hard to keep up with my little online journal here. I've also set up a Medium.com account for my yoga blogging. So even more blog fodder to be created! I've done so much over the last 2 months:

  • Travelled to Las Vegas, San Francisco and Boston
  • Taught yoga in Las Vegas
  • Taught my first ever yoga workshop
  • Secured 3 classes teaching at our new Lululemon shop
And I have considered leaving this little blog to the archive of the interwebs and stopping the Strawberry Fields Blog, it's hardly a well known blog! but it has served as a wonderful online journal for me and I am always amazed looking back that I have been doing it for 5 years! I'm usually a big fan of hard copy but having my thoughts and goals online makes it very easy to read over again why I wanted to leave my last job or why being single is fun and remind me of when it snowed in Bath and I started Crossfit I am different to when I first started this blog, and even since last year. and its cool to see these changes through this blog, however sporadic the posts!

So don't fret little blog, I could never leave you!

Goals 13 + 48. Go on a Yoga Retreat and Teach Yoga Abroad

How lovely that having come back to my little blog after a break that I have two goals to tick of the list. As part of my new job organising conferences I am teaching 2 early morning classes in Las Vegas, to encourage wellness in the workplace.

And I have put down my deposit for a yoga retreat in exotic...well, Arundel. A lovely place in the country and a fraction of the cost of some of the exotic retreats I found. A modest start, is after all, still a start.

I'll be teaching Yoga here at the Tropicana Terrace - usually used for weddings!

May Day, May Day!

Wow, Guys, its May! I haven't written a blog post in a very long time. One reason being I've been writing lots of blog posts for work, some not so exciting but for some I get to write about some great stuff! like wellness and incorporating yoga into your office day

So, I've failed to meet some of my goal deadlines and I've made some big decisions, I have left Crossfit, this was a ridiculously hard decision to make - Crossfit has made me stronger and fitter than I have ever in my life, and really all my reasons not to do it (cost+distance) didn't really seem good enough. But really I think I'm just ready for a change - and spending out a little less each month is a bonus I will have to use wisely

So yet again, I've had to rethink my exercise schedule. With an aim of 3 cardio/weight classes, 2 yoga classes, 1 run a week. Lets see how I get on this time!

Monday -  Weights Class @YMCA
Tuesday - Cardio Class, then Yoga Class @YMCA
Wednesday - Teaching Park Yoga after work
Thursday - Teaching yoga before work and YMCA Class
Friday - YMCA Yoga Class, Run at lunchtime
Saturday - Rest Day/Catch up
Sunday - Teaching Yoga/Catch up

My 2015 resolutions, I have yet to complete: New Deadline is July and I am determined to meet it. Over halfway through the year is long enough!

  • Put money into an ISA
  • lose 7lbs
  • book a yoga retreat and holiday with D

March'in Forward

Its March! Blimey the year is marching along! So I better catch up before I get whisked along too quickly. I set March as a deadline for my 2015 Resolutions I am going to reschedule a few with a new May deadline.

  • Put money into an ISA - not done - the rental deposit for a lovely new flat knocked me off my intended goal - but will do it by May
  • Lose 7lbs - I have lost 4lbs, next 3 have to go by May!
  • Book a yoga retreat and holiday with D - Deposit for peak district holiday pending on Friday, yoga retreat...not yet, finances have taken a big hit. I will get to a yoga retreat one day!
  • Do yoga at the location of each conference trip I attend - I enjoyed 2 lovely classes in Manchester whilst visiting for a conference
  • Study 1 hour of yoga theory per week - can be class structure, history or anatomy - Lots of exciting yoga plans coming up, I've had fun planning new classes.
